Poems From Me

So I said I was going to let you all into my life a little bit and something that a lot of you don’t know is that I write poems and songs. I have been writing since the 7th grade and I have a whole of poems and songs, but I’m only going to post a few of them for you to read and let me know what you think about them.

"IT"

It comes and goes
Its here for me
Its coming like the hunter for his meat
It comes and goes
Its after my heartbeat
It takes my soul
and leaves the rest of me
The perfect beat
The perfect rhythm
The perfect sound
It presents to me
So I allow it
To take control
in hopes one day
It leads me home

"You will never know"

As I sit and look at you
I realize that you will never know
What I see what I go through
There’s a pain inside that you will never know
There something inside of me that I will never show
Cuz of ma past I’m scared 2 let it go
Cuz of ma past I shelter who I really know
Cuz of my past I sit in the dark
Cuz of my past I close all the holes to my heart
So that its so cold and so hard to get into
That you will never know what I’ve been through
And if one day by chance you find the key that opens my dark past
Then you will see a side of me that you have never thought to see
Cuz truly I’ve been through life and its entirety

"My Life Is A Test"

My life is a test that’s what it is to me
If I try 2 be more than me
Then you say it can’t be
But if I’m less
Than all the rest
To you I’m at my best
Well I’m tired of all the rest
And not doing my best
I’m going to do me
No matter how much of a failure you say you see in me
Cause to me failure is not in me
But in the one that says it can’t be
My life is a test that’s what it is to me
And I’m doing my best not for you
But for me!
