Lil Wayne will drop his anticipated album “The Rebirth” tomorrow. I got a sneak peek at the album and it is amazing. I thought it would be hard for him to out due The Carter III, but he came real close. It is no surprise that Wayne decided to do a rock/rap album this time. On some songs like “Da Da Da” and “ The Price is Wrong” has just a little to much rock for rap lovers. However, there is a good balance between the rock beats and the rap beats. Do not think Wayne is rapping over rock and roll drums and guitars because that is not all the way true. He does combine the rap hardcore beats with the elements or rock and he does it amazingly. Like classic Wayne of course he uses the auto tune on most of the songs. This album is better than “The Carter III” lyrical that is. This has to be one the best rap albums lyrical ever. His lyrics are so much more in depth than his past albums. Fans will really get to hear what goes through his mind and how he feels. Some lyrics got me a little scared because they were similar to the mood in Jay Z “Run This Town” but Wayne brings us into his world in songs like “Running” and Paradise” and “Drop This World“. When I heard that Wayne was doing a rock/rap album I said to myself this is going to fail! However just as Wayne always does he proved me and many other critics wrong. This album is one of the best of 2010 and I expect it to sell millions!!! On a scale from 1-10 this album gets a 9.8. Everyone needs to get this album it is the truth and it has bridged the gap between two very different genres of music. This album is the true meaning of what it means to resurrect music!!!!!! Below are a few of my favorite songs from the album. Knockout feat. Nicki Minaj and Drop This World feat. Eminem!Monday, February 1, 2010
